I’ve been importing notes from Frame.io into DaVinci timelines as purple markers, which is extremely convenient. It occurred to me that it would be even more convenient to automatically jump to the next marker with a keyboard shortcut, so here’s what I came up with.
If you’re editing in the EDIT page, you can open the PLAYBACK menu at the top, select NEXT, and then MARKER, and it will take you to the next marker. To go back a marker, select PLAYBACK, PREVIOUS, MARKER.
I went into my keyboard shortcuts and found those exact command paths (PLAYBACK, NEXT, MARKER & PLAYBACK, PREVIOUS, MARKER) and mapped them to the following:
NEXT MARKER: “Shift + Down Arrow”
PREVIOUS MARKER: “Shift + Up Arrow”
This is so helpful. Highly recommend.
