Now and then I need to cut through all video and audio tracks on my Resolve timeline at once. This includes video, audio, graphics, SFX, music, etc…
The slow and dumb way is to activate the blade tool and manually make all the cuts manually. You don’t do that, do you? That would be tedious and suicide-inducing.
The better way to do it is to place the playhead where you want the cut, and then hit Ctrl+Shift+J. This will slice through all the tracks vertically wherever you placed the playhead.
This function is called “Split Clip” so if you wanna go ahead and change the shortcut to something less random, go ahead!
